The Denver Broncos' thirty-eighth season was in 1997, and it was the third season Mike Shanahan served as the head coach of the team. The Broncos played their home games at Mile High Stadium. They finished the year 12-4-0 in the regular season and 4-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Green Bay Packers 31-24, the team's first championship win. At the end of the season, Terrell Davis was awarded with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award.
