The Denver Broncos' thirty-eighth season was in 1997, and it was the third season Mike Shanahan served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 12-4-0 in the regular season and 4-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Green Bay Packers 31-24, the team's first championship win. At the end of the season, Terrell Davis was awarded with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award.
