1998 was the thirty-ninth season for the Denver Broncos and the third season for Mike Shanahan as the head coach of the Broncos. They finished the season 14-2-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Atlanta Falcons 34-19 for the team's third championship. At the end of the season John Elway earned Super Bowl Most Valuable Player and Terrell Davis earned AP Offensive Player of the Year.
