2014 was the fifty-fifth season for the New England Patriots and the fourteenth season for Bill Belichick as the head coach of the Patriots. They finished the season 12-4-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 for the team's sixth championship. At the conclusion of the season two different people were recognized for their successful seasons: Tom Brady, Super Bowl Most Valuable Player and Rob Gronkowski, Comeback Player of the Year.
