They finished the year 12-4-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Seattle Seahawks 28-24, the team's sixth championship win. At the end of the season Tom Brady earned Super Bowl Most Valuable Player and Rob Gronkowski earned Comeback Player of the Year.
