The Chicago Bears' eightieth season was in 1999, playing their home games at Soldier Field. During the offseason they hired Dick Jauron to lead the team. Jauron previously was the defensive coordinator of the Jacksonville Jaguars and had fourteen years of coaching experience in the NFL.
