The Indianapolis Colts' forty-seventh season was in 1999, and it was the second season Jim E. Mora (Sr.) served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 13-3-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the Tennessee Titans 19-16. At the end of the season, Edgerrin James was awarded with the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
