Biography

Ed Biles was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1974 to 1983, finishing his career as the head coach of the Houston Oilers. Over his ten years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 72-73-0. He was the head coach of the Houston Oilers from 1981 until the 1983 season, during which time the Oilers went 10-31-0. During his career he was a head coach for three seasons.

During the 1975 season as the defensive coordinator of the Houston Oilers he coached Robert Brazile to the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year.
