Biography
Career Summary
Ernie Stautner was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1963 to 1993, finishing his career as the defensive line coach of the Denver Broncos. Over his twenty-nine years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 272-149-5.
Stautner was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1969 after his playing career.
Career Awards
During the 1977 season as the defensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys he coached Harvey Martin to the AP Defensive Player of the Year.
