Career Summary

Bill Nelsen was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1973 to 1984, finishing his career as the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach of the Detroit Lions. Over his eleven years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 60-97-2.

Career Awards

During the 1975 season as the offensive coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons he coached Dave Hampton to the Comeback Player of the Year.
