Kotite previously was the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach of the Philadelphia Eagles and had fourteen years of coaching experience in the NFL. They finished the season 10-6-0, 4-4-0 at home and 6-2-0 on the road. At the end of the season, Jim McMahon was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year award.
