1991 was the fifty-ninth season for the Philadelphia Eagles. During the offseason they hired Rich Kotite to lead the team. Kotite previously was the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach of the Philadelphia Eagles and has a total of nine years of coaching in the NFL. They finished the season 10-6-0, 4-4-0 at home and 6-2-0 on the road. At the conclusion of the season Jim McMahon was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year.
