The Philadelphia Eagles' fifty-ninth season was in 1991, playing their home games at Veterans Stadium. During the offseason they promoted Rich Kotite to lead the team. Kotite previously was the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach of the Philadelphia Eagles and had fourteen years of coaching experience in the NFL. They finished the season 10-6-0, 4-4-0 at home and 6-2-0 on the road. At the end of the season, Jim McMahon was awarded with the Comeback Player of the Year award.
