The Oakland Raiders' eleventh season was in 1970, and it was the second season John Madden served as the head coach of the team. The Raiders played their home games at Oakland–Alameda County Coliseum. They finished the year 8-4-2 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC West, and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Baltimore Colts 27-17.
