The Buffalo Bills' seventh season was in 1966, playing their home games at War Memorial Stadium. During the offseason they promoted Joe Collier to lead the team. Collier previously was the defensive backfield coach of the Buffalo Bills and had six years of coaching experience in the AFL. They finished the year 9-4-1 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the Kansas City Chiefs 31-7.
