The New England Patriots' fifty-seventh season was in 2016, and it was the seventeenth season Bill Belichick served as the head coach of the team. The Patriots played their home games at Gillette Stadium. They finished the year 14-2-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC East, and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Atlanta Falcons 34-28, the team's fifth championship win. At the end of the season, Tom Brady was awarded with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award.
