They finished the year 14-2-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Atlanta Falcons 34-28, the team's sixth championship win. At the end of the season, Tom Brady was awarded with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award.
