Career Summary

Rod Wright is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the defensive run game coordinator/defensive line coach for the Houston Texans since 2026. Before moving into this role on the Texans he held three other positions with the team. His previous position was as the team's defensive line coach for two seasons. He began his stint with the Texans in 2023 as the assistant defensive line coach. Wright will be the defensive line coach and defensive run game coordinator of the Houston Texans for the 2026 season.
