Biography

Jim Vechiarella was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1983 until 1999, finishing his career with the San Diego Chargers as their linebackers coach. Over his sixteen years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative record of 100-155-0. During the 1995 season as the defensive coordinator of the New York Jets he coached Hugh Douglas to the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year.
