The Chicago Cardinals' thirty-fifth season was in 1955, playing their home games at Comiskey Park. During the offseason they promoted Ray Richards to lead the team. Richards previously was the assistant coach of the Chicago Cardinals and had four years of coaching experience in the NFL. They finished the season 4-7-1, 3-2-1 at home and 1-5-0 on the road.
