The Chicago Bears' fifty-eighth season was in 1977, and it was the third season Jack Pardee served as the head coach of the team. The Bears played their home games at Soldier Field. They finished the year 9-5-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the Dallas Cowboys 37-7. At the end of the season Walter Payton earned Man of the Year and AP Offensive Player of the Year.
