The Chicago Bears' fifty-eighth season was in 1977, and it was the second season Jack Pardee served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 9-5-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the Dallas Cowboys 37-7. At the end of the season Walter Payton earned Man of the Year and AP Offensive Player of the Year.
