Biography
Career Summary
Bart Starr was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1972 to 1983, finishing his career as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers. Over his ten years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 62-80-3. He was the head coach of the Green Bay Packers from 1975 until the 1983 season, during which time the Packers went 52-76-3. During his career he was a head coach for nine seasons.
Starr was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1977 after his playing career. Starr was the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers from 1956-1971 and won five NFL championships.

Before he was a head coach, Starr served as an assistant coach for Dan Devine. He spent one years as an assistant coach to Dan Devine, finishing as the quarterbacks coach in 1972. One assistant coach from his coaching staffs, Dick LeBeau, was eventually hired as a head coach. After coaching on Bart Starr's coaching staff, he was the head coach of the Cincinnati Bengals for two seasons where he combined for a regular season record of 8-24-0 and 0-0 in the playoffs.
Playing Career
He was drafted in the seventeenth round with the two hundredth pick in the 1956 draft to play quarterback for the Packers.
