The Baltimore Colts' twenty-eighth season was in 1976, and it was the second season Ted Marchibroda served as the head coach of the team. They finished the year 11-3-0 in the regular season but they lost their first playoff game to the Pittsburgh Steelers 40-14. At the end of the season, Bert Jones was awarded with the AP Offensive Player of the Year award.
