The Baltimore Colts' twenty-third season was in 1975, playing their home games at Memorial Stadium. During the offseason they hired Ted Marchibroda to lead the team. Marchibroda previously was the offensive coordinator of the Washington Redskins and had fourteen years of coaching experience in the NFL. They finished the year 10-4-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC East, but they lost their first playoff game to the Pittsburgh Steelers 28-10. At the end of the season, Ted Marchibroda was awarded with the Coach of the Year award.
