Career Summary
Jim Zorn was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1997 to 2012, finishing his career as the quarterbacks coach of the Kansas City Chiefs. Over his sixteen years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 130-126-0. He was the head coach of the Washington Redskins from 2008 until the 2009 season, during which time the Redskins went 12-20-0. During his career he was a head coach for two seasons. He was fired from the Redskins on Monday, January 4, 2010.

Before he was a head coach, Zorn served as an assistant coach for Dennis Erickson, Bobby Ross, Mike Holmgren, John Harbaugh, Todd Haley, and Romeo Crennel. Seven of these years were spent on Holmgren's coaching staff. One assistant coach from his coaching staffs, Arthur Smith, was eventually hired as a head coach. After coaching on Jim Zorn's coaching staff, he was the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons for three seasons where he combined for a regular season record of 21-30-0 and 0-0 in the playoffs.
