Career Summary
Dennis Erickson was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1995 to 2004, finishing his career as the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. Over his six years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 40-56-0. During his career he was a head coach for six seasons, first with the Seattle Seahawks. He led the Seahawks for four seasons, compiling a record of 31-33-0. He was fired from the Seahawks on Monday, December 28, 1998. His next head coaching stint was with the San Francisco 49ers from 2003 to 2004, as he led the team to a 9-23-0 record. He was fired from the 49ers on Wednesday, January 5, 2005. During his entire head coaching career, his two teams combined for a record of 40-56-0 across six seasons.
