Biography

Phil Bengtson was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1951 to 1972, finishing his career as the interim head coach/director of pro scouting of the New England Patriots. Over his twenty-three years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative record of 175-118-9. He was the head coach of the Green Bay Packers from 1968 until the 1970 season, during which time the Packers went 20-21-1. During his career he was a head coach for three seasons.
