Biography

Red Hickey was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1955 until 1965, finishing his career with the Dallas Cowboys as their offensive ends coach. Over his eleven years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative record of 64-75-3. During his career he was the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers from 1959 until the 1963 season. The 49ers went 29-36-1 during their five seasons with Hickey as head coach.
