Biography

Red Hickey was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1949 to 1965, finishing his career as the offensive ends coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Over his seventeen years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 112-95-7. He was the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers from 1959 until the 1963 season, during which time the 49ers went 29-36-1. During his career he was a head coach for five seasons.
