Biography

Career Summary

Eric Bieniemy is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the assistant head coach/offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders since 2023. Prior to this season, he coached for the Minnesota Vikings and Kansas City Chiefs for fifteen seasons. His most recent position was with the Chiefs as their offensive coordinator.

Career Awards

During the 2018 and 2022 seasons as the offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs he coached Patrick Mahomes to the Most Valuable Player and AP Offensive Player of the Year.

Personal Information

Bieniemy was born on Friday, August 15, 1969 in New Orleans, Louisiana. After starring in football during high school, he played college football at Colorado where he was named an All-American and Heisman Trophy finalist during his senior year. He and his wife, Mia, have two sons.
