Career Summary

Alonso Escalante is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the defensive assistant coach for the New York Jets since 2025. Prior to this season, he coached for the New York Giants, Oakland Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, and Carolina Panthers for nine seasons. His most recent position was with the Panthers as their coaching assistant. Escalante was hired as the new defensive assistant coach of the New York Jets for the 2025 season.
