1975 was the fifteenth season for the Minnesota Vikings and the eighth season for Bud Grant as the head coach of the Vikings. They finished the season 12-2-0 in the regular season. However, they lost their first playoff game to the Dallas Cowboys 17-14. At the conclusion of the season one different people were recognized for their successful seasons: Fran Tarkenton, AP Offensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player.
