The Denver Broncos' twenty-second season was in 1981, playing their home games at Mile High Stadium. During the offseason they hired Dan Reeves to lead the team. Reeves previously was the offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach/wide receivers coach of the Dallas Cowboys and had ten years of coaching experience in the NFL. They finished the season 10-6-0, 8-0-0 at home and 2-6-0 on the road.
