The Miami Seahawks' first season was in 1946. During the offseason they hired Jack Meagher to lead the team. Meagher had never previously coached in the AAFC in any capacity before the 1946 season. They finished the season 3-11-0, 2-5-0 at home and 1-6-0 on the road.
