The Chicago Cardinals' fourth season was in 1923, playing their home games at Comiskey Park. During the offseason they hired Arnie Horween to lead the team. Horween had never previously coached in the NFL in any capacity before the 1923 season. They finished the season 8-4-0, 8-3-0 at home and 0-1-0 on the road.
