Bergman previously was the scout of the Washington Redskins and had one year of coaching experience in the NFL. They finished the regular season 6-3-1 and continued to the postseason. In their first game they faced the New York Giants, winning 28-0. They faced the Chicago Bears for the NFL championship, losing 41-21.
