Biography

Gus Dorais was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1943 until 1952, finishing his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers as their backfield coach. Over his six years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative record of 26-38-2. During his career he was the head coach of the Detroit Lions from 1943 until the 1947 season. The Lions went 21-31-2 during their five seasons with Dorais as head coach.
