The Oakland Raiders' fourth season was in 1963, playing their home games at Frank Youell Field. During the offseason they hired Al Davis to lead the team. Davis had never previously coached in the AFL in any capacity before the 1963 season. They finished the season 10-4-0, 6-1-0 at home and 4-3-0 on the road.
