They finished the year 11-5-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Los Angeles Rams 13-3, the team's sixth championship win. At the end of the season, Julian Edelman was awarded with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award.
