The Columbus Tigers' fourth season was in 1923. During the offseason they hired Pete Stinchcomb to lead the team. Stinchcomb had never previously coached in the NFL in any capacity before the 1923 season. They finished the season 5-4-1, 4-2-0 at home and 1-2-1 on the road.
