1940s
The Buffalo Bills' inaugural season was 1946 as the Buffalo Bisons. During the decade, the Bisons had a record of 23-26-5 during the regular season and 1-2 in the playoffs. They won zero division titles. The Bisons ranked 5th in the East division with a win percentage of 46%. In 1947, the Bisons changed their name from the Buffalo Bisons to the Buffalo Bills.
