Career Summary
Dick MacPherson was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1967 to 1992, finishing his career as the head coach of the New England Patriots. Over his seven years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 34-68-2. He was the head coach of the New England Patriots from 1991 until the 1992 season, during which time the Patriots went 8-24-0. During his career he was a head coach for two seasons.

During the 1991 season as the head coach of the New England Patriots he coached Leonard Russell to the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year.
