Career Summary

Mike Rutenberg is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the defensive coordinator for the Cleveland Browns since 2026. Prior to this season, he coached for the Washington Redskins, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers, New York Jets, and Atlanta Falcons for sixteen seasons. His most recent position was with the Falcons as their defensive pass game coordinator. Rutenberg will be the defensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns for the 2026 season.
