Career Summary

Leonard Hankerson is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the offensive passing game coordinator/wide receivers coach for the San Francisco 49ers since 2026. Before moving into this role on the 49ers he held four other positions with the team. His previous position was as the team's wide receivers coach/offensive passing game specialist for one season. He began his stint with the 49ers in 2021 as the offensive quality control coach. Hankerson will be the offensive passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach of the San Francisco 49ers for the 2026 season.

Playing Career

He was drafted in the third round with the seventy-ninth pick in the 2011 draft to play wide receiver for the Redskins.
