Career Summary

Seth Ryan was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 2017 to 2025, finishing his career as the assistant tight ends coach of the Detroit Lions. Over his nine years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 81-67-1. Ryan will be the pass game coordinator of the New York Jets for the 2026 season.

Personal Information

Ryan is the third generation of Ryan's to coach in the NFL. His grandfather, Buddy Ryan, was an NFL head coach credited with inventing the 46 Defense.
