Career Summary
Steve Russ was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 2018 to 2023, finishing his career as the linebackers coach of the Washington Commanders. Over his six years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 38-60-1.
Personal Information
Russ was born on Saturday, September 16, 1972 in Stetsonville, Wisconsin. Russ was just the fifth player in Air Force history to be drafted into the NFL. After two years of active service, he joined the Broncos to begin his NFL career. Russ and his wife, Betsy, have one daughter, Mackenzie, and one son, Tyler.
