Biography
Career Summary
Hugh Devore was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1953 to 1970, finishing his career as the linebackers coach of the Houston Oilers. Over his eight years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative win/loss record of 37-63-6. He was the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles from 1956 until the 1957 season, during which time the Eagles went 7-16-1. During his career he was a head coach for two seasons.
