Biography

Billy Marshall was a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) from 1920 until 1921, finishing his career with the Detroit Tigers as their head coach. Over his two years of coaching his teams compiled a cumulative record of 3-8-4. During his career he was a head coach for two seasons. His first head coaching opportunity came with the Detroit Heralds. He led the team for one season, compiling a record of 2-3-3. His next head coaching stint came with the Detroit Tigers. He coached the Tigers for the 1921 season, leading the team to a 1-5-1 record.
