Career Summary

Josh Hammond is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the assistant wide receivers coach/assistant special teams coach for the Los Angeles Chargers since 2026. Before moving into this role on the Chargers he held three other positions with the team. His previous position was as the team's offensive assistant coach for one season. He began his stint with the Chargers in 2024 as the alex g. spanos coaching fellow. Hammond will be the assistant wide receivers coach and assistant special teams coach of the Los Angeles Chargers for the 2026 season.
