Career Summary

Mike Hiestand is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the defensive run game specialist for the Los Angeles Chargers since 2026. Before moving into this role on the Chargers he held four other positions with the team. His previous position was as the team's defensive assistant coach for two seasons. He began his stint with the Chargers in 2022 as the offensive assistant coach. Hiestand will be the defensive run game specialist of the Los Angeles Chargers for the 2026 season.
