The Chicago Bears' twenty-seventh season was in 1946, playing their home games at Wrigley Field. During the offseason they hired George Halas to lead the team. Halas brought twenty years of experience as a head coach. They finished the regular season 8-2-1 and continued to the postseason. They faced the New York Giants and won 24-14, clinching the NFL championship for the 1946 season.
