Career Summary

Michael McCarthy is a football coach in the National Football League (NFL) and has been the offensive assistant coach for the New England Patriots since 2024. Prior to this season, he coached for the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, and Detroit Lions for five seasons. His most recent position was with the Lions as their offensive line-quality control coach. McCarthy was hired as the new assistant offensive line coach of the Cincinnatti Bengals for the 2025 season.
