The Seattle Seahawks' twenty-fourth season was in 1999, playing their home games at Kingdome. During the offseason they hired Mike Holmgren to lead the team. During his time in the NFL he was head coach for seven years. They finished the year 9-7-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC West, but they lost their first playoff game to the Miami Dolphins 20-17.
