The Cincinnati Bengals' forty-second season was in 2009, and it was the seventh season Marvin Lewis served as the head coach of the team. The Bengals played their home games at Paul Brown Stadium. They finished the year 10-6-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC North, but they lost their first playoff game to the New York Jets 24-14. At the end of the season, Marvin Lewis was awarded with the Coach of the Year award.
