The Dallas Cowboys' twelfth season was in 1971, and it was the twelfth season Tom Landry served as the head coach of the team. The Cowboys played their home games at Cotton Bowl. They finished the year 11-3-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the NFC East, and 3-0 in the playoffs eventually winning the NFL championship against the Miami Dolphins 24-3, the team's first championship win. At the end of the season, Roger Staubach was awarded with the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player award.
