The Miami Dolphins' thirty-fifth season was in 2000, playing their home games at Pro Player Stadium. During the offseason they promoted Dave Wannstedt to lead the team. During his time in the NFL he was head coach for six years. They finished the year 11-5-0 in the regular season, en route to winning the AFC East, and 1-1 in the playoffs, eventually losing to the Oakland Raiders 27-0.
